Mold: The Innova Shryke Distance Driver in Pro Plastic -- Speed: 13 | Glide: 6 | Turn: -2 | Fade: 2
See all Shrykes
The Shryke is an easy to throw, very long range driver for a wide variety of players. A mild high speed turn puts the Shryke in glide mode, which along with its high aerodynamic speed, give it incredible distance. The low speed fade is also mild, which makes it easy to keep on the fairway. The Shryke is similar to the popular Tern but faster and slightly more high speed stable.
Plastic: Pro - See all Pro Discs
Pro Line discs are manufactured using a special blend of plastics designed to provide unique qualities which offer increased durability (compared to DX plastic) and provide an enhanced grip (compared to Champion plastic). The Pro Line of discs provide additional glide when compared to all other disc lines and are more economic than premium Champion or Star Line discs.
Stamp: Stock
This is the standard, or stock, stamp for this mold in this plastic, at this time. Stock stamps change from time to time as manufacturers attempt to keep their offerings fresh.
I love this disc! It has a predictable flight pattern, and is a go-to when I need a long and straight drive.
Innova Star Shryke with Burst Logo Stock Stamp - 166g - Solid Purple
The Shryke Driver is the disc I use when I want a nice "s" shaped flight path. Using the -2 turn will start the "s", and give me extra range. The only time I don't like this disc is with a crosswind. Crosswinds will mess up the flight of turning discs like this; but give me a day with light winds, and i can get great distance with this.
The Star plastic is my preferred plastic as it gives me a nice grip without loosing stiffness.
If you give this the right power it pack the heat with a ridiculously long throw with a crap ton of speed I really like it for long shot and just in general.
Disc is beautiful and ratings have been true for 4 rounds. Only two hiccups: the ol’ Boy is hard to find at dusk if the grass gets thick and the black disc makes it tough to add name/number as the sharpie blends in. Would recommend to those seeking higher-speed discs.
The Shryke is a good disc. I would say you could use it as a more understable father flying destroyer. It has good glide and can be a great bomber.
I was looking for a faster driver that wasn't too overstable that i could throw and not turn over easily. I like this disc for both back and forehand. In the star plastic it is great for the colder months.
