Needed a mid that was stable and accurate. Mako3 does the trick!
I was looking for the perfect disc and found it in the Mako3
My favorite midrange BY FAR ! Goes perfectly straight and is durable in star plastic … you can putt with it … drive pretty far with it . And it’s just a bread and butter go to midrange disc…it’s your trustworthy friend … doesn’t flip over it’s just a laser flat flying dependable disc
Very popular for a reason. The mold feels perfect in my hand. Flys beyond its speed rating. Throwing straight made easier buy a few you won't regret it.
I used a Shark for quite a while as my primary mid-range. It was a great beginner disc, and I still use it at times. I found the Mako3 to be better as I started throwing harder, or for use in the wind. In the Champion plastic it has enough stability to prevent turning over on downhills or a reasonable headwind, but it still flies very straight for me. This is my favorite disc for tunnel shots. Even if I take off some power I can still usually get a straight flight. And while it has a fair amount of glide (mine is near max weight) I think it is a little more precise for me than the Shark. The Champion plastic is fantastic for durability. It is a little slick in rain. The description is correct that it is great for one-disc rounds. I often grab this disc if I don't feel like carrying around a bag.
Mako3 is great for approach shots. I have this in Gstar to use in the woods. Flies remarkably straight. I do get a tiny bit of fade on RHBH's, but nothing compared to most other discs.
Exactly what was in the picture, perfect fit for my bag
If you are looking for a straight flying midrange, this is the disc you want.
I got one in a 175g, and it is possibly the most used disc in my bag. Glidy, but not in the least bit uncontrollable. Holds whatever line you throw it on, almost indefinitely. This is my go-to disc for short-medium distance hyzers.
