Introducing Drift Plastic — Dynamic Discs’ New Lightweight & Floatable Lineup
Dynamic Discs is stepping into new territory with the release of Drift Plastic, a lightweight and high-glide plastic blend designed to help players get more distance and control with less effort. Inspired by Latitude 64's Gravity plastic, Drift plastic is perfect for players seeking discs that are easy to throw, beginner-friendly, and water-safe — yes, they float!
This line is launching across multiple molds, including the EMac Judge, Evidence, Sergeant, Escape, and more, with additional molds expected around Junior Worlds this summer. The Drift blend focuses on reducing weight, with many discs weighing under 140 grams, making them ideal for players with slower arm speeds, juniors, or anyone wanting an effortless throw without sacrificing control.
Beyond its lightweight benefits, Drift plastic brings another key feature — it floats. For players who frequent courses with lakes, rivers, or ponds, this gives some peace of mind knowing that lost discs won’t be sitting on the bottom of a pond. Instead, you’ll have a chance to retrieve them and keep them in play.
During field testing, the Drift discs showed impressive glide and carry, often surprising players with how much distance they could achieve without extra power. Eric McCabe and Logan Harpool both highlighted the plastic’s ability to stay in the air and provide controlled flights, even in slight headwinds.
Dynamic Discs is positioning the Drift line as the perfect option for beginners, youth programs, and anyone looking for a lighter disc to make the game more fun and accessible. As more molds are added throughout the season, the Drift plastic family could quickly become a favorite for casual rounds, practice sessions, and players learning the game.
