Dynamic Discs Treason — A New Understable Distance Driver on the Horizon
Dynamic Discs is preparing to drop another exciting addition to their driver lineup later this summer — the highly anticipated Treason. This mold has been in prototype testing and is shaping up to be a go-to disc for players seeking effortless distance, smooth turnovers, and versatile shot-shaping potential.
The Treason sits comfortably in the 11-speed range and shares some DNA with the popular Renegade, but offers a touch more turn. This means lower arm speed players and developing amateurs will find the Treason incredibly workable for hyzer-flips, turnover shots, and even rollers when the situation calls for it. Early testers, including Logan Harpool and Eric McCabe, noted that while it may not find a spot in every professional's bag, the Treason could easily become a staple for intermediate and newer players looking for a disc that unlocks longer and more controlled drives without demanding high power.
The Treason will also be available in Drift plastic, Dynamic Discs’ new lightweight and floatable blend. Drift plastic, known for its high glide and water-floating properties, enhances the Treason’s already impressive ability to stay in the air and shape lines with minimal effort. For courses with water hazards or players looking for lighter, more manageable discs, this combination will be hard to beat.
Expected to release later this summer following the Heist’s launch at GBO, the Treason is poised to be a popular addition to Dynamic’s driver selection. As always, Dynamic Discs continues to show their commitment to making the game more accessible, offering discs that cater to both new and experienced players. Keep an eye out for the official flight numbers and release date, as the Treason could be the key to unlocking your next level of distance.
