How does wind affect disc flight?

SKU:

Wind can come as a crosswind, tailwind, or headwind. Crosswinds will mostly affect discs that have a hyzer or anhyzer flight angle versus a flat flight. The more of a cross section presented to the wind, the greater the wind will push the disc. Headwinds and tailwinds are basically increasing or decreasing the speed of the disc. Every 4-6mph of wind will increase or decrease your effective throw speed by 1. Discs will overturn when thrown into the wind. To counteract this, a higher speed rated disc can be used. [Speed Ratings] With a tailwind, the opposite is true. The disc you normally throw with no wind will underturn. You can disc-down on the flight speed with a tailwind.
