Mold: The Latitude 64 River Fairway Driver in Frost Line Plastic -- Speed: 7 | Glide: 7 | Turn: -1 | Fade: 1
See all Rivers
River has taken the market by storm and is a disc with THE GLIDE. It's easy to throw and fits most player's power and skill levels. River is a fairway control driver and while it's not the fastest disc Latitude 64 has made, and doesn't have the widest wing ever made, it is a disc for accurate driving and good control. With small fade and amazing glide, you can really let it fly on to those big anhyzer curves.
Plastic: Frost Line - See all Frost Line Discs
Frost Line is Latitude 64's newest addition to their high quality lines of plastic. They have worked hard to develop a plastic that feels good in the hand, has flexibility, durability, and maintains its shape in all conditions. Frost Line is very similar to their Opto Line, but with a higher flexibility and stickier grip. Creating a plastic that is flexible yet durable was a challenge that their mad scientists in Sweden have now conquered. Frost will maintain its shape in cold weather and doesn't melt in your hand on a sunny day.
Stamp: Stock
This is the standard, or stock, stamp for this mold in this plastic, at this time. Stock stamps change from time to time as manufacturers attempt to keep their offerings fresh.
I love the River. This is the disc I throw when I want a very precise shot, and the range is too far for an approach disc. My nick name for this disc is the "long range Buzzz". The river will give me a predictable slight hyzer (curved) flight path over the entire flight, with only 5-10 feet of side to side action. This lets me throw it down tight fairways bordered by trees. The high glide on this disc gets me some extra range without using excessive power that could decease my accuracy.
I have this disc in three different plastics. Opto, Golw, and Opto-X, Each of these is progressively more stiff/stable. This allows me to get the same flight path in different wind conditions just by changing the plastic.
